Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Blue Herpumter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Doherty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doherty has chosen Firestarter as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herpumter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Doherty fails with an attempt to clinch.
Doherty closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Blue Herpumter has been cut.
Doherty wants to clinch up but Herpumter keeps it at a distance.

and Herpumter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Doherty won't be happy with that.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Jonny Doherty hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Doherty has Herpumter up against the cage in a clinch.

Herpumter is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Doherty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Doherty's back!

Herpumter cracks Doherty with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Doherty from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

That was a close round but I would say that Blue Herpumter will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Blue Herpumter's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Doherty throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Doherty takes the fight into the clinch.
Doherty has picked Herpumter up - he's going for a ride! Doherty dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Doherty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Herpumter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Doherty is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Herpumter has managed to free his arm - good work.
Herpumter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Herpumter.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Herpumter is on top in guard.
Doherty pushes Herpumter off and scrambles back to his feet.

Herpumter is trying to drag Doherty to the mat but Doherty just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Herpumter cracks Doherty with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Herpumter immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Doherty is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Herpumter!
