Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Caschera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bruce Almighty!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Winston Howard and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almighty misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Caschera counters with a nice double leg into side control. Almighty won't be happy with that.

Caschera swings around for an armbar but Almighty sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Caschera's guard.
Caschera is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Almighty must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Almighty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Caschera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Caschera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Almighty's guard.

Caschera drops back looking for a leg! Almighty is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Almighty manages to kick Caschera off! Caschera jumps back into Almighty's guard.

Caschera tries to free his leg and advance position but Almighty is retaining full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Caschera prevents Almighty from getting back to his feet.
Caschera wants to control from the top but Almighty keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Caschera uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Almighty.

Caschera tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Caschera has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Almighty is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Caschera has hold of Almighty's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Almighty seems comfortable defending it but Caschera has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Almighty is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Almighty is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Caschera couldn't care less - he's delighted!
