Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Sakurai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakurai has chosen number girl syndrome as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Takanori Sakurai !
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith avoids a punch combination nicely.
Smith doesn't manage to clinch there - Sakurai circles away.
Smith on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Smith tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sakurai manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sakurai stuffs the takedown attempt from Smith. Smith gets slowly back to his feet.
Sakurai throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.

Smith bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Sakurai ! He dives into his guard looking to finish!

Sakurai is rocked!

It looks like Takanori Sakurai has been cut.

Sakurai pushes a forearm under Smith's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Smith is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
