Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucius Vorenus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Yankowy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yankowy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: 1000 Flamen. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yankowy feints and as Vorenus raises his hands in defense, Yankowy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Yankowy trying to control but Vorenus is working from the bottom.
Yankowy sitting in guard here, content to control.
Vorenus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Yankowy on the ground.

Yankowy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Vorenus dives on top into guard.
Vorenus would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Yankowy wants to stand but Vorenus is controlling the position.

Yankowy has his foot on Vorenus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vorenus works his way back into a safe position though.

Yankowy controls Vorenus momentarily but Vorenus frees himself.
Yankowy wants to sweep but no luck.

Lucius Vorenus has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Yankowy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Vorenus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Vorenus throws a head kick that misses.
Vorenus lunges at Yankowy with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Yankowy's hand.
Yankowy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Vorenus's waist but Vorenus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yankowy off to one side.
Yankowy fails to land the takedown.
Yankowy does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Yankowy shoots in for a takedown but Vorenus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Lucius Vorenus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Yankowy.

Vorenus throws a quick inside leg kick.

Yankowy takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Vorenus throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vorenus shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Yankowy eats them both and turns towards Vorenus to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like Jon Yankowy has been cut.
Yankowy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Vorenus lands an overhand right.
Yankowy's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vorenus connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Yankowy scrambles back to his feet.
Vorenus thows a body kick. Yankowy tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Vorenus feints and then cracks Yankowy's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Yankowy down.

Vorenus lands with a right that hurts Yankowy. Yankowy looks to clinch but Vorenus throws a short knee that drops Yankowy. This one is all over!
