The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mike Putman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Putman comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Groucho breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Putman looks to land a combination but Groucho avoids it well.

Putman moves in looking to clinch but Groucho pushes him off.
Groucho misses with a body kick.
Putman has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Groucho on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Putman throws a series of punches but Groucho avoids them all with ease.
Putman connects with a single shot there.
Groucho looks for the body kick but Putman saw that one coming.
Groucho slips under a jab from Putman.
Putman keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Groucho.
Putman lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Groucho is rocked!
Putman connects with a body shot that sends Groucho's belly button to the back.
Groucho is breathing heavily.
Groucho has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Groucho there as he acknowledges the shot.
Oh Groucho is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Putman jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Putman closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Groucho out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
