Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hakuin Ekaku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paul is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by DMX. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Paul!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekaku throws a hook to the side of Paul's head but Paul sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ekaku throws a quick inside leg kick.
Ekaku lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Ekaku has closed the distance and engaged Paul in a clinch.

Ekaku escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Paul scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ekaku throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Ekaku misses with a body shot.

Ekaku rushes Paul and presses him up against the cage.
Ekaku gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Paul.
Ekaku landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Ekaku lands with a short shot to the head.
Ekaku is trying to maintain a safe position but Paul gets an underhook and turns Ekaku into the cage.
Ekaku pressing his opponent against the cage.
Ekaku lands an elbow inside.
Ekaku lands a knee to the body.
Paul on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Ekaku is pressed up against the cage. Paul has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Ekaku down to the mat. Ekaku avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Paul looks gassed!
Nice combo by Ekaku! Oh, that's hurt him - Paul falls to the canvas and Ekaku follows him into side control.

Paul is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Ekaku working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Paul is still in real trouble! Can Ekaku finish him?
Ekaku advances to full mount.
Paul really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ekaku cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ekaku is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Paul can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ekaku landing strikes from the mount.
Ekaku takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Paul looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Paul defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Ekaku's arms.

Ekaku is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Paul has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Ekaku has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Paul taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Ekaku doesn't care though - he's delighted!
