The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yap throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jenkins defending well as Yap loads up on a big left hand.
James Yap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice straight punches there by Yap. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Yap.
Jenkins tries to clinch there but Yap circles away.
Yap throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jenkins counters with a one-two to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A head kick lands from Jenkins that sends Yap to the canvas. Yap tries to scramble back to his feet but Jenkins brings him back down into side control.

It looks like James Yap has been cut.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
A big shot lands for Jenkins! That's hurt Yap! Will he recover? Jenkins fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
