Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Trinidad Suarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Don Capone!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Capone tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Suarez paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Suarez counters with a takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Suarez decides to stand back up. Suarez steps back and let's Capone get back to his feet.

Capone tries to sprawl but Suarez drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Capone pushes Suarez off looking to stand but Suarez dives back in and keeps control.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Suarez connects with a nice short shot to Capone's temple.
Suarez is taking a breather. Capone says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Suarez lands strikes from half guard.

Suarez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Suarez looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Capone with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Capone has eaten all the pies!

Suarez tries to pass to full mount but Capone defends it.

Capone wants to improve his position but Suarez is controlling well.

Suarez trying to mount his opponent but Capone defends it.
Capone wants to control but Suarez is keeping busy.
Suarez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Capone is looking to improve his position.
Suarez drops an elbow to the side of Capone's head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Suarez lands with a punch from half guard.
Still in half guard, Suarez seems content to control.

Capone is rocked!
Suarez lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Capone! More strikes land and this one is all over! Suarez jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
