PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yogi Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oishi Yoshio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yoshio has chosen "Stronger" by Kanye West as his entrance music. Oishi Yoshio told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

OK we're going to have a standup here. Oishi Yoshio hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Yoshio stuffs the takedown attempt from Bear. Bear gets slowly back to his feet.
Yoshio thows a body kick. Bear tries to catch it but that hurt him.
No joy there for Bear, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bear has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Yoshio.
Yogi Bear seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yoshio closes the distance and pushes Bear back into the cage.

Yoshio is trying to maintain a safe position but Bear gets an underhook and turns Yoshio into the cage.

and Yoshio counters with a low kick, right behind Bear 's knee.

Yoshio throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bear stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Yoshio lands with an uppercut that bounces Bear off the cage and back into rage.

Yoshio forces Bear back against the cage and clinches.

Yoshio works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A left hand lands to the body for Yoshio.
Bear tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Yoshio lands a right hand that snaps the head of Bear backwards.

Yoshio throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Yoshio tries to land knees in the clinch but Bear avoids the damage to the body.
Bear wants to break the clinch but can't.

Oh Bear is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
