Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Mouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ren Rothschild (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mickey Mouse!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mouse lands a leg kick that knocks Rothschild off balance momentarily.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Mouse.
Mouse lands with a kick to the ribs.

Rothschild has Mouse up against the cage in a clinch.
Rothschild is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Mouse gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Rothschild.

Rothschild decides to pull guard.

Rothschild working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mouse doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mouse manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rothschild is looking for a triangle but Mouse pushes his legs off easily.

Rothschild had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mouse defends it easily.
Mouse tries to stand but Rothschild is controlling from the bottom.
Mouse really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rothschild working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Mouse has passed into half guard!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mouse tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rothschild knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mouse tries a head kick but it misses.
Mouse throws a leg kick

and Rothschild moves into the clinch.
Mouse misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Rothschild prevents Mouse from breaking the clinch.
Rothschild tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mouse avoids it.
Mouse can't break the clinch.
Rothschild tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mouse just stands there and leans against the cage.
Mickey Mouse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ren Rothschild.

Mouse escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rothschild is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rothschild tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mouse manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rothschild shoots in looking for a takedown. Mouse tries to sprawl out of it but Rothschild keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mouse manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mouse feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Rothschild's calf.

Mouse throws a body punch but Rothschild moves out of range.
Rothschild shoots for a double leg takedown but Mouse sprawls well. He's pushed Rothschild's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Mickey Mouse seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Mouse throws a head kick but Rothschild moves out of range.
Mouse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rothschild manages to avoid it.
Mouse throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mouse with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rothschild closes the distance and clinches up with Mouse, looking for a takedown. Rothschild pushes Mouse against the cage but Mouse circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Rothschild tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mouse swivels and escapes.

and Mouse counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Mouse makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Mouse throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mouse is looking to chop away at Rothschild's legs.

Rothschild closes the distance and pushes Mouse back into the cage.
Rothschild has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mouse is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Mouse wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Rothschild's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Rothschild changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mouse tries to avoid it but Rothschild manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mouse to the ground. Mouse escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

A punch lands to the side of Rothschild 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Rothschild tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mouse sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rothschild somewhat.

Rothschild closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rothschild lands in his opponent's guard.

Rothschild is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mouse has managed to free his arm - good work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Mouse is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rothschild's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rothschild's back!
Rothschild tries to escape but Mouse has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Rothschild is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mickey Mouse will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Mouse cracks the inside of Rothschild's front leg.
Rothschild takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mouse is looking to wear down Rothschild with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Mouse fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Rothschild.

and Mouse makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Mickey Mouse is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Rothschild uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mouse.

Rothschild's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Rothschild tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
No luck for Rothschild with that takedown attempt.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mouse, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
