PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eerikki Voipapu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Moukutaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Voipapu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kvelertak - Mjød. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Magnus Moukutaja!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moukutaja has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Voipapu finds it's way round the side to connect with Moukutaja's head.
A looping hook to the body misses from Voipapu. Moukutaja does a little dance to reset his feet.
Moukutaja shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Sloppy strikes from Moukutaja. Those never looked like landing.

Voipapu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Voipapu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Voipapu lands a body shot.
Voipapu blocks a jab.
Voipapu moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Voipapu misses with a wild body shot.
Moukutaja misses with a hook.
Moukutaja ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Voipapu moves away.
Voipapu is looking to wear down Moukutaja with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Voipapu throws a body punch but Moukutaja moves out of range.
Voipapu scores with a crisp jab that stopped Moukutaja in his tracks.

It looks like Magnus Moukutaja has been cut.
Voipapu ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Moukutaja looks gassed!
Moukutaja throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Voipapu counters with a right hand to the body.
No joy there for Moukutaja, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Moukutaja's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Voipapu connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moukutaja scrambles back to his feet.
Moukutaja swings for the body but Voipapu moves out of range.
Voipapu paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Voipapu lands a big right hand that sends Moukutaja crashing to the mat! Voipapu stays standing though and waves Moukutaja back to his feet!
Voipapu misses with a wild body shot.
Magnus Moukutaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Voipapu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Voipapu fails to land with a series of punches.
Moukutaja gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Voipapu.

That has opened up Magnus Moukutaja's cut even more.
Voipapu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Moukutaja takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Voipapu lands a nice looking body shot.
Voipapu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A lazy left from Voipapu finds it's target.
Voipapu ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Voipapu lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Moukutaja at a distance.

Voipapu feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Moukutaja sprawling to the canvas! Moukutaja rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Voipapu finish him?!
Voipapu ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Moukutaja's jaw. Moukutaja's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Voipapu does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
