Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Franck Pompi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devil Jho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pompi comes to the cage accompanied by French National Anthem. Jho has chosen Into the Abyss as his entrance music. Devil Jho will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jho pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pompi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Jho counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pompi thinking.
Nice takedown defense from Jho. No joy for Pompi on that attempt.
Pompi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jho tries to avoid it but Pompi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jho to the ground. Jho escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jho tries to bum rush Pompi with a series of wild strikes but Pompi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Pompi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jho smiles and moves away.

Pompi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Jho is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Pompi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Jho really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pompi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Pompi has Jho pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Jho manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jho creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A short body shot lands from Jho as the two fighters clinch.
Jho lands a right hand that snaps the head of Pompi backwards.
Pompi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jho smiles and moves away.
Jho fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Jho connects with a solid leg kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pompi shoots in but Jho avoids the takedown attempt easily.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
