Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karim Chamakh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrov comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Man. And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karim Chamakh!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chamakh moves forwards but Petrov connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Kirill Petrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chamakh uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Petrov.
Chamakh slips under a jab from Petrov.
Petrov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Petrov loads up on a big right hand but Chamakh slips the punch.

Petrov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Chamakh is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Petrov.
