Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Apolo Creed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan comes to the cage accompanied by Cinderella Man By Eminem. The key to victory for Daniel Ryan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Creed shoots for a takedown but Ryan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Creed counters with a shoot takedown. Ryan fights it but they end up in guard.
Creed trying to control but Ryan is working from the bottom.

Ryan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Creed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Creed pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ryan is keeping the position for now.
Creed in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Ryan keeping moving, preventing Creed from controlling successfully.

Ryan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Creed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Creed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ryan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Creed can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Creed works a leg free and moves into half guard.
