Jackson comes to the cage accompanied by Can't be Touched. Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. I´m Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Austin Smith!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jackson.

Quinton Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Smith bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Smith connects with a high kick.
Jackson swings for the body but Smith moves out of range.
Smith feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Jacksons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Jackson misses with a hook. Smith ducked under it nicely.
Jackson shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Jackson can't find room to land a body shot as Smith controls the action.
Jackson tries to score a body lock takedown but Smith shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Smith pushes Jackson back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Smith tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jackson's elbow.
Smith lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jackson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jackson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jackson off to one side.
Austin Smith seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Smith.
Jackson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Jackson falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Smith counter with a right hand.

Smith cracks Jackson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Smith has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Jackson to stand back up!


Jackson is rocked!
Smith and Jackson are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Smith throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Jackson into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Smith knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Austin Smith!
