The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like John Turner has been cut.
Turner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Turner throws a chopping leg kick but Silva manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
A jab from Turner misses.
Turner takes a swing at Silva's ribcage but misses.
Turner lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Turner throws out a powerful jab.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Silva takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Silva missing with a left hand there. Turner was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Silva takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Turner walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Silva checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Turner throws a hook to the side of Silva's head but Silva sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silva is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Turner.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Turner is just out of range.
That kick from Turner tenderised Silva's leg. Silva is trying to keep his angry face on.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Silva tries to land a front kick but Turner steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Turner throws the left hand but Silva avoids the punch easily.
Turner lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
That kick from Turner tenderised Silva's leg. Silva is trying to keep his angry face on.
Silva blocks a head kick by Turner.

Turner closes the distance and clinches.
A body shot lands from Turner.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Turner breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turner lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Turner thuds his shin into the meat of Silva's side.
Turner throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
A slow jab from Turner misses its intended target.
Turner jabs Silva right on the nose. Silva blinks but takes it well.
Silva drops his hands momentarily and Turner takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Turner sends Silva crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Turner is motioning to the referee to let Silva up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Silva is rocked!

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Turner shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Oh Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Turner.
Turner connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A slapping leg kick lands for Turner.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Silva doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Turner darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Turner lands a nice shot to the body.
Turner lands a nice looking body shot.
Turner dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Turner tries a head kick but it misses.
Turner misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Silva.
Silva takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Turner scores with a jab to the jaw.
Silva is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Turner turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Turner lands a nice leg kick that just misses Silva's sensitive parts.
John Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A chopping leg kick lands by Turner.
Turner scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Whack! Turner lands a heavy head kick that drops Silva. The ref tackles Turner to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Silva was done.
