PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lasi Leuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Plo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Plo has chosen ISIS - Grinning Mouths as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Plo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Plo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Leuka works over Plo's head and body with a nice combination.
Plo slips a straight right by Leuka.
Plo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Leuka takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Plo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Plo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Leuka moves away.

Leuka stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Leuka wants it to stay on the feet.
Plo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Leuka to score with a decent uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Leuka feints a jab promting Plo to slip. Leuka then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Plo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

A punch lands to the side of Leuka 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Plo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Leuka sprawls well initially but Plo persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Plo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Plo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Plo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Plo is looking to work some ground and pound but Leuka has wrist control.

Patrick Plo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Plo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
