Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stafford Shire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and OMG Zulud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zulud is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: DJ Tiesto - Adagia For Strings. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stafford Shire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, OMG Zulud!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shire pushes Zulud up against the cage in a clinch.
Shire is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Zulud gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Zulud crunches a lovely knee into Shire's ribcage.
Shire misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Zulud.
Shire takes a knee right on the jaw!
It looks like Stafford Shire has been cut.
Zulud connects with a nasty looking knee right to Shire's face.

Zulud creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Oh Shire is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shire goes for a takedown attempt but Zulud pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Shire is breathing heavily.
A head kick misses from Zulud.
Shire closes the distance and clinches.
Shire avoiding damage as Zulud throws knees to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Zulud with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Zulud tries to land a knee to the head but Shire blocks with his arms.
Zulud blocks the elbow strike.
Zulud throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Shire blocks it with crossed arms.
Shire is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Zulud can't fight it off and eventually Shire manages to take the fight to the floor. Zulud looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Shire trying to control the position from guard on top but Zulud is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Shire trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Zulud doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Zulud manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Zulud breaks from Shire's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Shire manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Shire trying to hold on to Zulud's head to control him but Zulud postures up.
Shire regains full guard. Nicely done.
Zulud is looking to work some ground and pound but Shire has wrist control.
Shire wants to get back to his feet but Zulud is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Shire bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zulud's guard.
Zulud looking for a guillotine here but Shire defends easily.
Shire is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Zulud is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shire sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zulud's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Shire works his way into side control.
Shire tries to move into full mount but can't pass Zulud's legs.
Zulud regains half guard.
Zulud landing strikes from the bottom.
Zulud is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shire's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shire's back!
Zulud keeps control of the position as Shire tries to break free.
Shire manages to reverse the position and now he's in Zulud's guard. Nice work there by Shire.
Shire working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Shire is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Zulud keeping moving, preventing Shire from controlling successfully.

Shire works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Zulud makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Zulud.
Shire drops back looking for a leg! Zulud is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Zulud manages to kick Shire off! Shire jumps back into Zulud's guard.
Shire wants to control from the top but Zulud keeps moving.
Shire trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Shire postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Zulud is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Shire, into his guard.
Zulud with a nice head shot there.
Shire avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Shire manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Shire landing punches.
Shire will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Shire wants to control the pace but Zulud is squirming around nicely.
Shire with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Zulud is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Zulud throwing hammer fists to the chest of Shire. What's that going to do exactly?

Shire is working to isolate an arm here. It's a choreographed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Shire extends the arm and Zulud is forced to tap!
