The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Selwoods fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Selwoods slips a straight right by Ramirez.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Selwoods.
Selwoods fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Selwoods. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ramirez moves into the clinch.
Selwoods drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ramirez gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Selwoods tries to score a body lock takedown but Ramirez shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Ramirez lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like Mark Selwoods has been cut.

Ramirez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Selwoods dives in and grabs Ramirez's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ramirez pushes down on Selwoods's head and hops out.
Ramirez connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Selwoods's hands.
Selwoods shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ramirez as he jumps to the side.
Ramirez throws a quick inside leg kick.
Selwoods misses with a takedown attempt - Ramirez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Selwoods is breathing heavily.
Ramirez scores with a leg kick.

Selwoods takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ramirez lands the left hand.

Selwoods is rocked!
Selwoods is aggressively charging in as Ramirez backs up avoiding any damage. Ramirez tosses out a jab and Selwoods runs right into it face first! Selwoods is out cold! Ramirez dropped down on all fours and is barking in Selwoods's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
