Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Guilherme Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abu Davee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes to the cage accompanied by Guerreiro by Curumin. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves tries to land a front kick but Davee steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Davee uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Alves.
Davee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Davee checks a leg kick.
Alves throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alves doesn't manage to clinch there - Davee circles away.
A left lands for Davee.
Alves throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Davee sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Davee scores with the left hand. Alves knows he should have avoided that one.
Davee avoids the body shot from Alves.
Davee throws an overhand right that lands on Alves's shoulder, as Alves tries to avoid the shot.
Alves is looking to clinch but Davee is avoiding it.

Alves lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Davee backwards.

Alves tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Davee's elbow.
Davee has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Davee wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alves has him pressed against the cage.

Alves digs a right hand into Davee's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Davee's gas tank.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alves is on top in guard.

Davee utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Alves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Davee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Davee tries to roll over but Alves keeps him under control.
Davee pushes Alves off looking to stand but Alves dives back in and keeps control.

Alves has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Alves has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Alves has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Davee's face.
Alves tries to control but Davee wriggling away.

Alves is trying to trip Davee. He has hold of a leg but Davee is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Alves persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Davee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Alves postures up in Davee's guard and throws a big left but Davee blocks it.
Alves passes Davee's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Alves looks to land a strike but Davee avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Davee is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Alves is looking to work some ground and pound but Davee has wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Alves accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
