Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chris Gaines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Prozak - Under The Rain as his entrance music. Jordan Jones is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gaines circles away.
Jones blocks a head kick by Gaines.
Gaines throws out a leg kick but Jones moves out of range and Gaines only half commits.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Jones blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Gaines tries a knee to the head but Jones blocks it.
Jones on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Jones drags the fight down to the ground.
Gaines tries to stand but Jones is controlling from the bottom.

Jones scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Gaines slaps away a takedown attempt from Jones, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gaines swivels and escapes.

Gaines wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Gaines throws a push kick but Jones slaps the foot to one side.
Jones tries for a takedown but Gaines circles away easily
and Gaines counters with a good, hard body kick but Jones shrugs it off.
Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jones shoots in for a takedown but Gaines shows good takedown defense.
Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Gaines looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range.

Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gaines but Gaines pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Gaines throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Jones is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gaines pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gaines throws a looping overhand right but Jones ducks down to avoid it.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Jones. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Gaines throws and elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gaines's guard. Nice move by Jones!

Gaines will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Jones lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Gaines!
This has been an exciting period of action!

You get the feeling that Gaines really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Jones lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The referee warns Gaines that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Gaines turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Jones off and cradles Gaines's limp body as Jones celebrates with his corner.
