PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Staller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Bataille (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bataille comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dance Hall Days kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Georges Bataille will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round but I would say that Patrick Staller will probably get the nod.

Georges Bataille showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Staller is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Bataille will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Staller wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bataille, who protects the arm well.

Staller is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bataille knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
You can see the frustration on Bataille's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bataille takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Bataille gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Staller is taking a breather. Bataille says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bataille lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Staller at a distance.
An inside leg kick lands from Bataille.
Bataille is looking to score with low kicks.
Staller staying out of range there.
Bataille looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bataille tries to score with a low kick but Staller moves his leg out of the way.
Bataille fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Staller.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Georges Bataille.
I think Bataille has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
