Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darius Kasparaitis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Crown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Crown's choice of entrance music: Eminence Front. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Darius Kasparaitis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Crown!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Crown lands a big uppercut and Kasparaitis crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Kasparaitis looks OK. Crown waves Kasparaitis back to his feet!


It looks like Darius Kasparaitis has been cut.
Crown throws a jab but it's blocked by Kasparaitis.
Crown keeps the fight on the outside.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kasparaitis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Kasparaitis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Kasparaitis breaks from the clinch.

Kasparaitis drives through and clinches with Crown against the cage.

Kasparaitis is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Crown can't fight it off and eventually Kasparaitis manages to take the fight to the floor. Crown looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Crown is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Crown really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kasparaitis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Crown controls Kasparaitis momentarily but Kasparaitis frees himself.
Crown utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Kasparaitis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Crown working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kasparaitis.
Kasparaitis passes Crown's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kasparaitis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Crown is just riding it out for now. Kasparaitis eventually gives up the hold.
Kasparaitis passes the guard and advances to mount!

Crown holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Kasparaitis tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Kasparaitis tries to control but Crown wriggling away.
Crown avoids a series of strikes thrown by Kasparaitis.
Kasparaitis trying to control but Crown is having none of it.
Crown is trying to escape the mount.

Kasparaitis wants to control the pace but Crown is squirming around nicely.

Crown's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Crown is desperately trying to improve his position but Kasparaitis has a good base and remains in mount.
Kasparaitis misses with a head shot.
Kasparaitis postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Crown looks a forlorn figure.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Crown is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Crown defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kasparaitis.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Crown circles away from the clinch attempt.
Kasparaitis tries to close the distance and clinch but Crown swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Kasparaitis scores a takedown into full mount!
Kasparaitis takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Kasparaitis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kasparaitis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Crown because Kasparaitis loaded up on that one.

Crown is squirming around, avoiding Kasparaitis's attempts to control the action.

Kasparaitis tries to control but Crown wriggling away.

Kasparaitis working for a submission but Crown is keeping him at bay.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Crown tries to reverse the position but Kasparaitis maintains control.

Crown is bucking up trying to escape but Kasparaitis cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Darius Kasparaitis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Crown sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kasparaitis is just content to waste time from the top position. Crown takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Crown controls Kasparaitis momentarily but Kasparaitis frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Crown throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kasparaitis sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kasparaitis moves into the clinch.
Crown is trying to break the clinch but Kasparaitis is controlling him.

Kasparaitis drags the fight down to the ground.
Kasparaitis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Kasparaitis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Crown can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kasparaitis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Kasparaitis is landing with some decent strikes but Crown is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Crown can't escape the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kasparaitis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Kasparaitis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Crown for as long as he can get away with.
Kasparaitis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Crown can do to turn this around?

Kasparaitis working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Crown looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kasparaitis! Submission of the night perhaps?
