Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alen Delon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Delon kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Prayer Of The Refugee. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alen Delon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lyoto Machida!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delon closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Delon lands in his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Machida is wriggling around but Delon manages to pass to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Delon connects with a nice short shot to Machida's temple.
Machida scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Delon manages to mount him!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Delon lands a big shot there that rocks Machida but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Delon lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Machida! Delon sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Machida and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Alen Delon!
During a confident post fight interview, Alen Delon thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
