Coming up we have a welterweight bout between Alysian Karalis and Ricky Jenkins. Karalis's entrance music is Drunkship Of Lanterns by The Mars Volta. A fine choice. Jenkins has chosen Dare as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karalis slips a straight right by Jenkins.

Karalis has taken the fight to the clinch.
Karalis misses with the head strike.

Jenkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jenkins falls off balance throwing a combination

and Karalis counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Karalis missing with knees to the body.
Jenkins lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Karalis.
Karalis prevents a body shot from Jenkins.

Karalis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jenkins takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jenkins takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Jenkins lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Karalis circles away quickly and effectively.
Karalis scores with a jab. Jenkins acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Jenkins takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jenkins lands with a straight right. Karalis didn't see that one coming.
Jenkins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Karalis throws a good cross that connects.
Jenkins throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Karalis with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Ricky Jenkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Karalis.

Karalis rushes Jenkins and presses him up against the cage.

Jenkins is trying to break free.

Jenkins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jenkins misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Karalis.
Jenkins lands with a nice combination. Karalis backs away looking to recover.
Jenkins needs to keep his hands up - Karalis had a free shot at his head there.
Karalis lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Karalis closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jenkins did well to prevent Karalis getting side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Jenkins wants to control but Karalis is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ricky Jenkins was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Jenkins takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Karalis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Karalis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Karalis has control of an arm but Jenkins manages to advance to Karalis's back!
Karalis rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Karalis gets back to full guard.
Jenkins won't allow Karalis to sweep him here.
Jenkins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Karalis looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Karalis is trying to keep Jenkins in close.
Jenkins trying to control the position from guard on top but Karalis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Karalis working for a triangle but Jenkins defends it easily.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Jenkins trying to control but Karalis is working from the bottom.

Jenkins is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Jenkins won't allow Karalis to sweep him here.

Karalis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jenkins defends well.
Karalis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jenkins is trying to maintain the position but Karalis is very close to passing his half guard.

Karalis is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Karalis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Karalis is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jenkins sees it coming and defends easily.
Karalis prevents Jenkins from improving his position.

Karalis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jenkins defends it well.
Jenkins has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Karalis is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Karalis is working for a kimura but Jenkins is defending it quite comfortably.

That's time! Karalis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A combination from Jenkins does no damage.
Karalis looks to score with a jab to the body but Jenkins is just out of range.
Jenkins misses with a double jab
and Karalis makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Karalis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jenkins momentarily.
Jenkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Karalis moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Karalis throws a nice inside leg kick.
Karalis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jenkins.
Jenkins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Karalis throws a shot to the body.
No joy there for Jenkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jenkins gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Karalis.
Karalis lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jenkins gets tackled into the cage by Karalis. Karalis maintains the clinch.
Karalis looking to throw knees to the head but Jenkins is blocking nicely.
Karalis throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jenkinss head.
Karalis tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jenkins's elbow.

Karalis has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jenkins clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Karalis looking to break Jenkins's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Jenkins remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Karalis will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
