The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Random dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Random tries to close the distance and clinch but Kennedy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Random throws a nice looking combination but Kennedy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Random looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Random avoids a kick to the body.
Kennedy misses with a head kick.
Random looks to land a right hand but Kennedy moved out of range.
Kennedy throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Random misses with a straight left.
Random scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Kennedy moves out of range of the leg kick from Random.
Random avoids the head kick by Kennedy.
A slow jab from Kennedy misses its intended target.
Random gets a double leg takedown into Kennedy's guard.

Random stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kennedy swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Random wants to control from the top but Kennedy keeps moving.
Random tries to free his leg and advance position but Kennedy is retaining full guard.

Random shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kennedy pinned against the cage. Kennedy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kennedy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Random. That did some damage!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kennedy changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Random looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The strikes coming from Kennedy are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Random can't do much from the bottom here.
Kennedy is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Random's shoulder. That is not cool.
Random tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kennedy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Random manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kennedy's best efforts.

Kennedy wants to pass to mount but Random is defending the position.

Kennedy is working for a kimura but Random is defending it quite comfortably.
Random wants to get back to his feet.
Kennedy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Random working to try and regain half guard.
Kennedy throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Kennedy is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Random can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Random is squirming around, avoiding Kennedy's attempts to control the action.

Kennedy looking to isolate an arm here. Random doesn't see it coming and as Kennedy extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Kennedy!
