Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kirill Petrov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sigvard Aurelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Petrov comes to the cage accompanied by Iron Man. Aurelius has chosen Marcia Carolus Rex as his entrance music. Kirill Petrov has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelius tries to land a leg kick but Petrov saw it coming and moves away.

Sloppy strikes from Petrov. Those never looked like landing.
Aurelius thuds his right hand into Petrov's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Petrov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Aurelius avoids it really well and circles away.

Aurelius feints and then cracks Petrov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Petrov down.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Petrov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Aurelius digs a right hand into Petrov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Petrov's gas tank.

Sigvard Aurelius is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Petrov takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Petrov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Kirill Petrov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Petrov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Sigvard Aurelius showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Aurelius lands a nice leg kick that just misses Petrov's sensitive parts.
Oh Petrov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aurelius scores with a jab to the jaw.
A nice inside leg kick there by Aurelius. That's going to slow Petrov down.

Petrov takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Petrov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Aurelius - the referee stops the clock and Petrov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Aurelius. Petrov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Aurelius fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Petrov to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Petrov looks to clinch but Aurelius throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Petrov taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
