Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Doet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zarek Reschke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zarek Reschke!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reschke keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Reschke lets loose with a powerful body kick. Doet will feel that in the morning.

Doet shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Doet is stalling here. Reschke is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Doet seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Reschke has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Doet is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Reschke.

Reschke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Doet moves away.
Reschke lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Reschke throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Reschke moves into range and clinches up with Doet.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Reschke comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Doet tries to work over Reschke's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Reschke tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Reschke tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Doet's elbow.

Reschke blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Doet avoiding damage as Reschke throws knees to the body.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Doet controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Doet stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reschke swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Doet wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Doet looks to land a combination but Reschke avoids it well.
That kick from Doet tenderised Reschke's leg. Reschke is trying to keep his angry face on.
Doet throws a hook but Reschke blocks it.
Reschke connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Doet throws a hook but Reschke avoids it easily.
Doet shoots in and drives through. Reschke sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Doet. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Doet throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reschke's waist but Reschke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Doet off to one side.
Zarek Reschke seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Doet takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
