Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Keith Schafer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dupree Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens looks to land a right hand but Schafer moved out of range.
Schafer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Owens was well out of range. Poor timing from Schafer.
Schafer misses the shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Schafer. Owens does a little dance to reset his feet.
Owens throws a predictable looking body shot
and Schafer counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Owens misses with a body shot.
Owens throws a body punch but Schafer moves out of range.
Schafer's jab looks to have found its range, popping Owens under the eye.
An inside leg kick lands from Schafer.
Owens tries to bum rush Schafer with a series of wild strikes but Schafer uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Schafer misses with a body shot.
Schafer throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Schafer looks to score with a jab to the body but Owens is just out of range.

Owens thows a body shot but no joy.
Schafer scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Schafer has closed the distance and engaged Owens in a clinch.

Schafer manages to break the clinch.
Schafer is looking to wear down Owens with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Schafer leaves Owens with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Owens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Schafer connects with a nice looking jab.

Schafer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Schafer throws out a loose jab but Owens uses good head movement to avoid it.
Owens throws a sloppy head kick and Schafer moves out of range easily.
Owens dances in with a quick combination. Schafer is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Owens snaps Schafer's head back. Schafer stumbles backwards against the cage. Owens steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Schafer's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Schafer just didn't come prepared.
