Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Meighen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce SilvA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meighen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from SilvA.
SilvA throws a leg kick but Meighen moved away.
Meighen lands a jab to the head.
Meighen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but SilvA was well out of range. Poor timing from Meighen.
Meighen loads up on a big right hand but SilvA slips the punch.
Meighen throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Meighen misses the jab.
Meighen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
SilvA motions for Meighen to come forward. SilvA throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Meighen swings widly with a right hand
and SilvA counters with a nice low kick that buckles Meighen's knee momentarily.
SilvA lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

SilvA rushes Meighen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

SilvA gets control of Meighen's arms and successfully pulls guard. SilvA will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

SilvA escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Meighen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
SilvA is trying to control the position but Meighen postures up.

Meighen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

SilvA working for submissions but it's allowed Meighen to get to half guard.
Meighen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
SilvA is looking to improve his position.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Meighen in particular looking to stall.
SilvA is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

SilvA looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

Meighen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so SilvA is just riding it out for now. Meighen eventually gives up the hold.

Meighen tries to stand but his hand is stuck under SilvA.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
SilvA looking for subs from the bottom but Meighen mounts him!
SilvA bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Meighen preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Meighen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from SilvA.
SilvA trying to control the position from guard on top but Meighen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
SilvA passes Meighen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
SilvA stalling away here and it's allowed Meighen to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Meighen cracks SilvA with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Meighen lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Good leg kick by Meighen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
SilvA turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
SilvA lets loose with a powerful body kick. Meighen will feel that in the morning.

Meighen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but SilvA moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Royce SilvA seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Meighen misses with a hook. SilvA ducked under it nicely.

and SilvA counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Meighen tries to get to full guard but SilvA has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
SilvA thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

SilvA is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Meighen!
Meighen really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
SilvA is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Meighen can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
SilvA lands with some strikes.
Meighen takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
