The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinjo throws a big shot that misses.

and Shinjo counters with a series of strikes. Chuteboxe will be more careful next time no doubt.

Shinjo lands with a thumping leg kick.

Shinjo has closed the distance and engaged Chuteboxe in a clinch.

Chuteboxe has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shinjo after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cacareco Chuteboxe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chuteboxe is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Shinjo pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Chuteboxe goes for a takedown in the clinch but Shinjo prevents it.

Chuteboxe is trying to drag Shinjo to the mat but Shinjo just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Chuteboxe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Shinjo is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Shinjo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Shinjo is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Chuteboxe has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Shinjo is looking to defend but Chuteboxe has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Shinjo! Chuteboxe pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Shinjo taps out and this one is all over!
