The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luther closes this distance looking for a takedown but Castle circles away.
Luther doesn't manage to clinch there - Castle circles away.
Castle instigates a clinch.
Luther tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Castle just stands there and leans against the cage.
Castle lands a nice knee to the body.
A body shot lands from Castle.
Castle lands a hook that snaps the head of Luther backwards.
Luther goes for a takedown in the clinch but Castle prevents it.

with the fighters clinched against the cage, Castle creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Castle would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Castle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Luther works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Castle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Luther swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Castle drops back, looking for a kneebar! Luther looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Luther looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Luther!
Castle misses with a strike from the bottom.
Castle is looking for a sweep.
Luther tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Luther has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Castle manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Castle wants to get back to his feet.

Castle is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Luther's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Luther's back!

Luther grimaces as he takes a shot to the body.
Castle is looking for the choke from the back position but Luther is controlling his hands well.
Castle has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Luther has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

Castle has the hooks in. Luther is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Castle's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Castle is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Luther is defending well though. Castle let's go of the attempt for now.

Castle is trying to stick to Luther's back but Luther is turning into Castle. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Castle's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Luther.

Luther passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Castle gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Castle tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Castle utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Luther trying to control the position from guard on top but Castle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Frank Castle dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Castle moves in looking to clinch but Luther pushes him off.

Castle wants to clinch up but Luther keeps it at a distance.
Luther closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Luther lands in his opponent's guard.
Castle looking for a guillotine here but Luther defends easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Luther stands and throws Castle's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Castle on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Castle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Luther has an Americana. Castle didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Luther is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Luther hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
