Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eiji Kisaragi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Cosixen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eiji Kisaragi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sergei Cosixen!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cosixen just misses with a punch to the body.
Kisaragi tries to clinch there but Cosixen circles away.
Kisaragi dives in and grabs Cosixen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cosixen pushes down on Kisaragi's head and hops out.
Kisaragi shoots in and drives through. Cosixen sprawls well.
Nice body punch from Cosixen.
Cosixen keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Cosixen. That snapped Kisaragi's head back.
A decent looking cross lands there for Cosixen.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cosixen slips a straight right by Kisaragi.

The fighters circle momentarily. Cosixen darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cosixen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kisaragi to the mat! Kisaragi manages to get full guard.

Kisaragi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cosixen defends it easily.

Kisaragi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cosixen controls the pace.

Cosixen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kisaragi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cosixen has managed to get both his arms back between Kisaragi's legs - danger averted.

Cosixen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Cosixen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kisaragi's guard.

Cosixen takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

It looks like Cosixen might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cosixen lands a nice short elbow.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Cosixen frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Cosixen wants to finish this one by submission but Kisaragi is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Cosixen.
Cosixen is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kisaragi can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Cosixen lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

You can see the frustration on Kisaragi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kisaragi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cosixen pulls his head out easily.
Cosixen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cosixen is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Kisaragi is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sergei Cosixen showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Cosixen connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Cosixen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kisaragi.
Kisaragi takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Eiji Kisaragi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kisaragi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Oh Kisaragi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kisaragi pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Cosixen looks to land a combination but Kisaragi avoids it well.

Cosixen catches Kisaragi napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Kisaragi to the canvas!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cosixen loads up on a big left hand. Kisaragi felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Cosixen looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Kisaragi can't hide his disappointment, as Cosixen celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sergei Cosixen!
