The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamaguchi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hemsky connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hemsky misses with a leg kick
and Yamaguchi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Yamaguchi throws a body kick that misses.
Yamaguchi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Yamaguchi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hemsky moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Yamaguchi has managed to clinch.
Yamaguchi misses with a punch to the body.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Yamaguchi creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Hemsky is trying to push Yamaguchi away but Yamaguchi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hemsky's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Yamaguchi can't find room to land a body shot as Hemsky controls the action.

Hemsky breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Hemsky walks forward, straight into a front kick from Yamaguchi.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hemsky tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A decent looking cross lands there for Yamaguchi.
Yamaguchi slips a jab from Hemsky.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hemsky steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Yamaguchi. That one must have hurt.
