Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fred Boyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keast Gaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaard is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Otto Brandenburg - Når en Sailor Går i Land. Keast Gaard is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Boyle drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Boyle wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gaard, who protects the arm well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The strikes coming from Boyle are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Gaard really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boyle. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's time! Boyle's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Gaard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Boyle moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gaard, as that shot connected.
Gaard throws a shot from downtown. Boyle moves away and avoids it.

Gaard tries to bum rush Boyle with a series of wild strikes but Boyle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boyle tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gaard was well out of range. Poor timing from Boyle.
Gaard blocks a jab.
Fred Boyle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Gaard loads up on a big right hand but Boyle slips the punch.

Gaard throws a series of strikes that have Boyle backpedaling.
Gaard jabs Boyle right on the nose. Boyle blinks but takes it well.
Boyle fails with the takedown.
Gaard has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Boyle tries to score with a low kick but Gaard moves his leg out of the way.
Gaard scores with a hook to the body. Boyle takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Gaard throws a shot from downtown. Boyle moves away and avoids it.

Boyle is rocked!
Gaard finds Boyle's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Boyle flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Gaard lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Boyle will be OK.
