The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenzie throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Gable lands with a thumping leg kick.
McKenzie takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
McKenzie throws a body punch but Gable moves out of range.
Gable swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gable walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Gable feints and then cracks McKenzie's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow McKenzie down.
Gable fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McKenzie manages to avoid it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McKenzie takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

McKenzie gets caught flat footed, as Gable shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gable throws and elbow that misses. McKenzie uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gable's guard. Nice move by McKenzie!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dan Gable will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

A looping hook to the body misses from McKenzie. Gable does a little dance to reset his feet.
McKenzie pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
McKenzie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
McKenzie attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Gable lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McKenzie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McKenzie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
McKenzie punishes Gable's body with a nice straight punch.
Gable shoots in but no luck this time.
McKenzie connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Oh Gable is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McKenzie thuds a left hand into Gable's body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
McKenzie ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Gable's jaw. Gable's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! McKenzie does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
