Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brij Khali (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neck has chosen Deep Purple - Bad Attitude as his entrance music. Brij Khali has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Neck closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Khali did well to prevent Neck getting side control.
Neck lands strikes from half guard.
Neck has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Neck seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Khali steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Neck. That one must have hurt.

Neck shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Khali pinned against the cage. Khali gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Neck cracks Khali with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Neck stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Neck drives through with a takedown into guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Khali pushes Neck away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Neck gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pencil Neck dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Neck looks up at the clock and then as Khali takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Neck smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This has been an exciting period of action!

A head kick from Neck lands but Khali takes it in his stride.

Neck shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Khali napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Neck has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Neck has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Oh Khali is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Neck quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Neck but it's paid off an Khali is forced to tap! Nice work by Neck.
