The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miles misses with a low kick.
Neer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Miles sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Miles slips a jab and a cross from Neer.
Neer shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Miles decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Neer's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Miles stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Miles wants it to stay on the feet.

Miles looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Neer is fending him off so far but Miles persists. Nope, Neer circles away and we're back to standing.

I really don't envy Miles right now.

Neer is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Miles is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Neer drops back looking for a leg! Miles is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Miles manages to kick Neer off! Neer jumps back into Miles's guard.

Miles wants to sweep but no luck.
Miles controls Neer momentarily but Neer frees himself.

Miles escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Miles shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Neer as he avoids it easily.

Miles feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Neer pivots and extends the arm, Miles falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Neer! Well done that man!
