PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Uriel Amok (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Saari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Amok kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Devils. Saari has chosen MACABRE - Serial Killer as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saari misses with a wild body shot.
Amok takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Amok shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Saari sprawls well. Saari wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amok gets slowly back to his feet.

Saari looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Amok effectively controlling the action here.
Saari wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Saari prevents a body shot from Amok.
Amok tries to work over Saari's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Saari breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Saari fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Amok manages to avoid it.
Henry Saari is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Amok shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Amok throws a strike but Saari rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Amok wants to sweep here but Saari controlling him for the moment.

Amok escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Saari gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Amok looking to hit a scissor sweep but Saari is one step ahead there.
Saari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Amok. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Amok lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Saari!

Saari somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet!

Saari takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Saari throws a hook but Amok avoids it easily.
Amok fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Saari throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Amok counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Saari takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Saari misses the shot to the body.
Amok misses with the combination.
Saari throws a jab but it's blocked by Amok.
Saari moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saari is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Amok off and has taken his back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Amok pulls guard effortlessly.
Amok bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Saari's guard.

Amok throws and elbow that misses. Saari uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Amok's guard. Nice move by Saari!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amok is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Saari has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Amok to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Saari is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Amok pulls down on the head and he's put Saari to sleep! This one is all over!
