The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cifer Jr tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tauno was well out of range. Poor timing from Cifer Jr.
Cifer Jr misses with a double jab
and Tauno counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A punch combination from Cifer Jr misses.
Cifer Jr shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tauno manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cifer Jr postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tauno seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Tauno looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Cifer Jr is defending well. Tauno quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Cifer Jr has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Tauno celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
