Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yoshi Sushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christopher Samba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samba has chosen Bezerker by Love Among Freaks as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sushi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Samba was well out of range. Poor timing from Sushi.
Samba ducks under a wild hook from Sushi.
Samba misses with an uppercut. Sushi saw that one coming.
Sushi moves to clinch but Samba breaks away
and Samba counters with a one-two to the body.

Samba gets a clinch.
Sushi misses with some punches.
A short left from Samba.

It looks like Yoshi Sushi has been cut.
Sushi throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Sushi lands a hook to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Samba avoids the elbow strike from Sushi, against the cage.
Sushi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Sushi misses with a punch on the inside.
Sushi putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Samba in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Samba misses with some punches.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sushi just misses with a elbow thrown towards Samba's brow.

Samba blocks the elbow strike.

Samba lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Samba has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sushi is trying to escape the mount.
Sushi in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Samba takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Samba wants to control the pace but Sushi is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sushi tries to hold on but Samba postures up.
Sushi is trying to escape the mount.
Samba takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sushi is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Samba postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sushi looks a forlorn figure.

Yoshi Sushi's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Yoshi Sushi's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
