Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Sinatra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Taylor has chosen Bodies as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Sinatra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sid Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinatra missing with a left hand there. Taylor was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Taylor throws out a leg kick but Sinatra moves out of range and Taylor only half commits.
Sinatra tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Taylor was well out of range. Poor timing from Sinatra.
Taylor throws a body kick that misses.
Taylor throws a leg kick that misses.
Sinatra lands a nice hook to Taylor's body. Taylor takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Sinatra manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Taylor on his heels. He'll look to pass Taylor's guard now, I'm sure.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sinatra is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Sinatra frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sinatra is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Taylor can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Sinatra sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Sinatra postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Taylor looks a forlorn figure.
Taylor is squirming around, avoiding Sinatra's attempts to control the action.

Sinatra wants to take his opponent's back but Taylor doesn't allow it.

Taylor has given up his back here. Will Sinatra look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Sinatra is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Taylor has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Sinatra looking to break Taylor's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Taylor remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Sinatra will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

and Taylor counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Taylor looks to land a body kick but Sinatra moved away.
Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sinatra scores with a sloppy right hand. Taylor should have avoided that one.

Sinatra throws a jab when Taylor was well out of range.
Sinatra fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Taylor looks to land a combination but Sinatra avoids it well.
Taylor fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sinatra has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sinatra ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.
Taylor fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sinatra checks it well.
Sinatra throws out a loose jab but Taylor uses good head movement to avoid it.

Sinatra shoots in for a double leg but Taylor sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Taylor bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sinatra thuds his right hand into Taylor's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Taylor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sinatra moves away.
Taylor throws a chopping leg kick but Sinatra manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Sinatra lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Sinatra keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Sinatra moves out of range of the body kick.
Taylor looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Taylor throws a sloppy body shot
and Sinatra counters with a nice body shot.
Taylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Taylor throws a nice inside leg kick.
Taylor tries to clinch but Sinatra moves away

and Sinatra counters with a nice double leg into side control. Taylor won't be happy with that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taylor is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Sinatra lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sinatra unloads with some shots from mount but Taylor bucks and avoids them well.
Sinatra controlling the pace for now.
Taylor tries to buck Sinatra off but Sinatra takes his back!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sinatra is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Taylor knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Taylor for a finish.

Taylor rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Taylor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sinatra sees it coming and avoids it easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Taylor enables Sinatra to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Taylor manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Sinatra stands and throws Taylor's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Sinatra is looking to take a break and control but Taylor is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Sinatra is really struggling to control Taylor but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Taylor prevents Sinatra from improving position.
Taylor can't do much from the bottom here.

Sinatra tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sinatra has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sinatra cracks Taylor with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Sinatra wants to lay and pray for a moment but Taylor keeps working.
Sinatra tries to move into full mount but can't pass Taylor's legs.
Frank Sinatra overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Taylor is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sinatra has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Taylor had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sinatra defends it easily.
Sinatra stands and throws Taylor's legs to the side, diving into side control.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sinatra, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
