PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kim Sung il (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Justice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Duke Justice was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kim Sung il!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Duke Justice!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Justice displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sung il.
Justice tests Sung il's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Justice scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Sung il doesn't seem bothered though.
Sung il fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Sung il uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Justice.
Sung il shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Justice pinned against the cage. Justice gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Justice swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Justice fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sung il manages to avoid it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sung il shoots for a double leg takedown but Justice sprawls well. He's pushed Sung il's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Kim Sung il will probably get the nod.

Sung il throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Justice's waist but Justice gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sung il off to one side.

Sung il shoots in looking for a takedown but Justice manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sung il's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Justice has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
