The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sparing shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cat pinned against the cage. Cat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sparing fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cat manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Cat.
Cat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sparing looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Cat lands a nice looking body shot.
Sparing misses with a shot to the body
and Cat counters with a body kick that stops Sparing in his tracks momentarily.
Sparing wants to land a leg kick but Cat is out of range.
Cat throws a right and a left that Sparing avoids nicely.

Cat gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Sparing to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Cat will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sparing looks gassed!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Cat is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sparing is working Cat over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Cat lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sparing!
Sparing tries to hold on but Cat postures up.
Sparing is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sparing wants to control but Cat is having none of it.
Cat prevents Sparing from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sparing is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cat takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Sparing tries to lock up and control but Cat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cat controlling from mount.
Sparing working to try and regain half guard.
Cat controlling from the full mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sparing is trying to escape the mount.

Cat looking to control and managing it successfully.
Sparing is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Cold Cat will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

It looks like Wrestling Sparing has been cut.
Sparing closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Cat sends Sparing crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cat is motioning to the referee to let Sparing up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Crack! A monster head kick from Cat and Sparing falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Cat!
