The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francis fails with a takedown attempt.
Francis darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Wood looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Francis pushes past his half guard into mount!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Francis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Wood's face.

Wood is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

You can see the frustration on Wood's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yosh Francis will probably get the nod.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Wood is pressing down on Francis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Francis is holding on for now.
Francis is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Wood's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Wood's back!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Yosh Francis.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Francis, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
