Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jomar Requina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ras Luta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Luta misses
enabling Requina to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Ras Luta has been cut.
Luta loads up on a big right hand but Requina slips the punch.
Requina connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Luta throws a head kick that misses
and Requina counters with a nice uppercut.
Luta moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No joy there for Luta, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Luta misses with a double jab
and Requina counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That has opened up Ras Luta's cut even more.
Luta throws a sloppy head kick and Requina moves out of range easily.
Luta throws a series of punches but Requina moves out of range.
Requina connects with a looping right hand.
Requina listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Luta goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Luta swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Requina connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

The cut above Ras Luta's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Luta falls off balance throwing a combination
and Requina counters with a huge left! Luta is in big trouble! He's backing up but Requina isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Luta from any more damage. A dominating finish by Requina!
