The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Draclau avoids the body shot from Riviera.

Draclau lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Draclau lands with a hook. Riviera tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Riviera throws a leg kick but Draclau moved away.
Riviera throws a lazy right hand but Draclau sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Draclau throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Riviera was covering up waiting for the punch and Draclau finishes the takedown easily into guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Riviera wants to control the position but Draclau says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Draclau is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Riviera is just riding it out for now. Draclau eventually gives up the hold.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Draclau isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Riviera stacks Draclau on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Riviera!
Riviera is looking to take a break and control but Draclau is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Draclau throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Riviera stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
