The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bouraka.
Bouraka throws a sloppy head kick and Ilyich moves out of range easily.

Billy Bouraka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bouraka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ilyich manages to avoid it.
Ilyich connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ilyich looks to land a combination but Bouraka avoids it well.

Bouraka gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Ilyich lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Bouraka is looking to close the distance but Ilyich sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Bouraka crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Bouraka is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Vladimir Ilyich decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
