The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Ruzic is predictable there
and Khavin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ruzic blocks a head kick by Khavin.
Ruzic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Khavin misses with an uppercut. Ruzic saw that one coming.
Ruzic just misses with a punch to the body.
Ruzic takes a swing at Khavin's ribcage but misses.
Khavin connects with a high kick.
Ruzic misses the shot to the body.
Khavin tries a head kick but it misses.
Ruzic takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
A chopping leg kick lands by Ruzic.
Ruzic throws a right and a left that Khavin avoids nicely.
Khavin throws a right hand that Ruzic ducks under and follows up with a left that Ruzic also avoids with ease.
Ruzic throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Khavin.

Ruzic looks to score with a jab to the body but Khavin is just out of range.

Khavin is desperately trying to improve his position but Ruzic has a good base and remains in mount.
Ruzic thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Ruzic wants to control the pace but Khavin is squirming around nicely.
Khavin is bucking up trying to escape but Ruzic cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Ruzic misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ruzic can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Khavin is looking to escape.
