The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fitzwell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Francisco with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fitzwell to score with a decent uppercut.
Francisco looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fitzwell is fending him off so far but Francisco persists. Nope, Fitzwell circles away and we're back to standing.

Fitzwell pushes Francisco up against the cage in a clinch.

Fitzwell turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fitzwell manages to end up in side control.
Francisco tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Fitzwell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Fitzwell decides to take the fight back to the feet.
A jab from Fitzwell misses.
Fitzwell fails to land with a series of punches.
Fitzwell throws the left hand but Francisco avoids the punch easily.
Francisco closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fitzwell circles away.
Richard Fitzwell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Francisco .

Francisco shoots in but Fitzwell avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Francisco looks for a takedown but Fitzwell sprawls well.
Fitzwell works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Francisco shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Fitzwell but Fitzwell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fitzwell lands a brutal uppercut that launches Francisco off his feet! Francisco tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
